Persons interested in serving on the Conservation Commission may send letters of interest to the Hardwick Select Board. This is a volunteer position, and the term as Commissioner is 3 years. Submit letters of interest to:

Applying for Permits: For Notices of Intent (NOI), Requests for Determination of Applicability (RDA), and Abbreviated Notices of Resource Area Delineation (ANRAD) applicants must file the appropriate paperwork and all plans to the Commission prior to the first Monday of the month.* The application forms can be found at Mass DEP Forms, click on Wetlands & Waterways, and select the form you want to submit.
Submitting your Application: Two (2) hard copies of the Application and large-scale plans must be submitted prior to the first Monday of the month.* Additionally, the Application and all plans must be sent electronically to conservation [at] townofhardwick.com (conservation[at]townofhardwick[dot]com) prior to the first Monday of the month.* Your information will forwarded electronically to all members of the Commission.
*If the first Monday of the month is a federal holiday, submissions must be made a week earlier.
Fees: The fees for an NOI or ANRAD are specified in the application forms.
The Fee for an RDA is $25.00
Legal Ad Fees: The fee for your legal ad varies according to the number of words. The Commission office will submit the ad to the Ware River News. The paper will send the office a copy of the ad, with the price. The Applicant will be notified by email of the cost of the ad and will be asked to submit a check in that amount.
