The Massachusetts Central Railroad Corporation, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, is to rehabilitate its main rail track starting at the end of March 2023 (weather permitting). This project has an estimated time for completion to be somewhere around the 1st week of July 2023.
The daily train schedule will operate Monday through Friday starting at 5 pm (up to a possible 12-hour period) to service our rail customers from Palmer to South Barre to then return to Palmer. When this rail track rehabilitation project is completed, the train schedule will resume back to daytime service beginning at 7 am (up to a possible 12-hour period).
